"You know, I never pretend to be the invisible photographer, or someone like 'I live so intensely the story that I became part of them.' I never want to be that because as a photographer, I’m already living that part. It’s the role that we have. We cannot change it, you know. We cannot pretend to be someone else. Sometimes (the) photographer pretends to feel the pain of the subject. Forget abt (it), you don’t. You’re photographer, it’s good you’re a photographer. But you sometimes like 'Well we can be friends'. Unfortunately you have to work. You have to work for a client. Unfortunately. But maybe we have something to share."
