I dun mean to be judgemental in any way, but it's hard to imagine the following conversation took place.
And no, I wasn't speaking to a foreigner.

"Where do you live?"
"Yishun"
"Where is that?"

*pause*

"In the north"

"So how do you get to work everyday"
"I take the MRT mostly"
"Sorry, but what's the station at Yishun?"

this time...a longer pause, accompanied by a look of disbelief - purely unintentional.

"err...Yishun."
