Be a Law-abiding Pedestrian

Something I learnt only today:
Jaywalking doesn't just mean crossing the road anywhere outside that of which has been specifically marked out for this purpose (usually by 2 white stripes and a traffic light).

Apparantly, one's only guilty of jaywalking if one attempts to cross the road within a 50m radius of a designated crossing. Anywhere outside of this 50m, it's legal. And at your own risk, of course.
